Bon Odori

Phew....nows the only chance of blogging for me, since Bon Odori!!! Well, it was held at the Matsushita Stadium in Shah Alam, 16th July 2005. In preparation for that, Bryan and I went to Petaling Street to but the things needed to make a Yukata(japanese summer wear). The cloth cost RM50! OMG! and the cutting RM25....>.< pretty wasted though....cuz I won't be wearing it often...XD....We went searching high and low to find the shop that actually makes the Yukata, only to fail...sigh....anyway, Bryan paid RM3 to use the Cyber Cafe there for 2 mins....lol....quite a dodgy place that was....XD....the coms were SUPER OLD!!! the keyboards were....ewww....yellowish....)the super yellowed kind)....anyway...we found the information and succeded to get the job done.

Now for the actual Bon Odori event. At 5.00 p.m. after my tuition has just finished, I went to Bryan's house where everyone was supposed to meet, the people who were going were Kwan Seng, Li Ying, Su Ping and Bryan. As soon as I got there I changed into my Yukata and we set off to KL Sentral where we were supposed to take the KTM to Shah Alam. Everything went on fine and we arrived at 7 with 2 friends who met us at KL Sentral, Chee Yan and Janice.

Fortunately we arrived at the correct time, and with the Yukatas, the shuttle bus just couldn't miss us....we took a ride and found ourselves in the stadium. Surprisingly, we met our history teacher, Puan Rosimah there! She was shocked to see us, and vice-versa. So, we bowed to her( since we were in Japanese clothing), she actually whacked us....lol....dono why. Well, we met the Comic Fiesta people there, said hi and everything.

The food there was....umm...EXPENSIVE!!! the cheapest we could find was a RM3 Japanese Nasi Lemak...and there was some 'Snowball Coconut King' it was so hilarious....(RM8...ouch...)...I also bought a RM10 plate of Seafood Noodles. Well it was great, the prawns were crispy and they put some greenish thingy on top(not wasabi)..tasted good also. Say Xue Ni's sister but lost her, well Xue Ni didn't go...so...no point looking for her...

Then there was this dance thing in the middle of the field. The dancers were on a high raised platform while us(the newbies who don't know how to dance stayed below). We tried to follow the dance as well as we could and had a superb time using the plastic fans to hit each other at every break.

After the dancing, we headed back to the CF headquarters. They had a photo session their and I, of course didn't want to be left out. *wink* Then the sad part came, the end of BO drew near. The speakers boomed good night and to meet again next year. All of us retreated to the exit.

I had problem finding my parents and had to waste RM3 just on phone calls....sigh...what a waste....Anywayz....Bon Odori was sure an event that I won't miss next year!!!

All the Comic Fiesta Members!!! See me???
